Our Goal
Encore’s goal is to present a Broadway-quality show and to make each performer’s experience one that they will remember fondly forever.
You will learn and be pushed to be as creative as possible. You will learn theatre “language.” You will gain confidence in yourself and in being part of a “team” on stage. Hopefully, some of the skills learned and practiced in Encore will carry over to other areas of your life as well. You will meet students from other schools who have similar interests as you and probably make life-long friends.
Registration Fees
Fees vary depending on the show and the size of the cast. Fees cover insurance and some costume expenses as well as food on Tech Sunday. For main costume pieces you might be asked to supply some general items (shoes, tights/socks, t-shirts). All performers are asked to sell a minimum of 10 tickets.
Rehearsals
Attending each rehearsal only helps you improve as a performer. You can watch others and learn from them and their director notes. Some rehearsals will only be for certain performers or groups. You do not have to be there if you are not “on call.”
We know that sometimes there might be conflicts. You are permitted to miss up to four rehearsals but these should not be used as a “pass” to not come and rehearse. The week before the show (Tech Week) rehearsals are every night and no one is permitted to miss these rehearsal dates.
